Amis means "a Friend" in French and the owner treats all his customers as a friend. He caters to the Jefferson street crowd and has been here a long time. Please give his little store a try and you will be glad you did...

Cool little spot to stop in for a sandwich and a drink. Owners are so friendly and welcoming. You can get lunch and sit in a hidden little atrium, filled with light and sweet fountain sounds.

Despite being close to closing, attendant was very cheerful and prepared a hot chocolate for me (to go). Waited for it to cool some and It was very tasty. Thank you! Very good store to stop in if walking downtown and desire snacks or sides for a home cooked meal.

I LOVE this grocery store! Everything I've gotten for lunch has been excellent (don't skip the chicken salad or the roast beef poboy)! Their customer service is wonderful and the staff and owner are very friendly- I always enjoy chatting with everyone behind the counter. They are a great business in every way!

This place is a great local grocery store in the heart of Downtown Lafayette. It has a very New Orleans vibe about it ans everyone there is very friendly. You can get groceries, lunch specials, sandwiches, boudin and more! Definitely worth a stop if your looking for some local Louisiana goodies from local vendors.

Cute little grocery store! Exceptional customer service! Rachel, one of the owners was kind and knowledgeable. She also knows sign language! We got chicken salad sandwiches on rye bread and ate in the atrium, SO delicious! The kids purchased freeze-dried skittles and jolly ranchers!

AMIS has become my grandson's FAVORITE PLACE!! I ask Where do you want to go eat? "The BOUDIN STORE" He calls AMIS GROCERY. They have his newly found FAVORITE "BEST STOP" BOUDIN!! , and ROYS FRESH LEMONADE!!! Everyone is SO FRIENDLY! hince, the name says it too!!! We absolutely love this place! You will too!
